Loud nights on the town aren’t for everyone (at the best of times). And with social distancing measures still in place across the country, more low-key, day-time hen-do ideas may seem like a preferred alternative.

To help you start planning, I’ve put together a list of suggestions that have got you covered – from pampering days to bridal-themed workshops.

Spa Day

The very definition of a relaxing day out. If you plan to follow tradition and have your hen the day before the ceremony, this could be the perfect option for you: there’ll be no sore heads, and everyone will be feeling fresh-faced and raring to go. Ease your last-minute nerves with a luxurious massage and a dip in the pool before a glass of bubbly with the girls.

Why not consider Chewton Glen, Tylney Hall, or Rhinefield House?

Flower Arranging Workshops

You’ve spent hours researching your wedding flowers, what each kind means, and what goes well together, so why not now put that knowledge to good use? Our wonderful local florists can help and guide you, teaching you a skill that will be valuable for life. You’ll know what to do whether you’re preening the flowers for your kitchen windowsill or helping your best friend make those all-important wedding decisions in a few years! Plus, of course, it’s guaranteed to be a lot of fun!

Why not consider Little Lillies, The Wild Fox, or Pomp and Petals?

Afternoon Tea with Fizz

Afternoon tea has long been popular for hen dos! And for good reason. It unites good food, your favourite people in the world, and a few delicious drinks. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better combination! Just pick your stunning setting, and you’re away.

Why not consider the Long Barn or The Manor House?

Theatre Trip

Possibly the ultimate sophisticated hen do: a trip to the theatre. Though theatres might not be up and running just yet, if you’re planning for next year, this is a fabulous idea to consider. Choose something that will have everyone laughing, and finish it off with a meal out. The perfect way to set the stage for your celebrations!

Bridal Hair Workshops

Did you know I offer bridal hair workshops as well as on-the-day bridal hair services? Choose either a 2-hour session, teaching you how to blow-dry and style your hair, or a 5-hour session showing you how to create different bridal hair looks. This can be a fun, exciting way to build the anticipation before your wedding morning, get to know me even better, and learn some beautiful hairstyles for future weddings, dinner parties, and even days at the races!
